Mai Bhaagi nhi

raat us milan ki,

baat us ghutan ki,

darwaza maine khola tha,

Khidki ki taraf bahein bhi meri h,

kya mai sheeshe ke andar jhaank pati,

Kya vo baat kaano me na goonjti,

kya vo shahad ke niche basa vo zeher dhoondti,

kya mai sheher se sheher ghoomti,

aasmaan ko choomti,

mai bhaagi nhi maa,

Mujhe dhakela gya saanson se,

Sharam jo thi unme,

Vo ek mom ka pinjra tha,

Meri surat ne pighla dala,

Unki haya ko,

Unki haya to sapno me tha,

Kaagaz me likha hua ek shabd,

Vo makkhi sa man,

Jo ek stree ko phhool sa dekhe,

Mastishk se nhi,

Kuchalne wali dhool sa dekhein..

Maa mai bhaagi nhi,

Rounda gyi mai,

Rounde gye vo sapne bhagwaan bnne ke,

Jo raat ke diyon ke saath bujhne na diya tha,

Mai chali thi,

Upkar karne,

Zindagiyan bachane,

Kisne dekha us raat ko,

Kisne dekha us halaat ko,

Vo thi bus me,

Mai apne vidyalay me,

Use bharosa tha apne sheher par,

Mera tha apne is gyaan ke mandir par,

Par vo kuchla gya..

Mai giri aasmaan se,

Mai bhaagi nhi,

Jalaya gya un shaitannon ke zabaan se,

Us soch se,

Ghutan ki vo raat,

Mai gyi is jahaan se

meeting peace

 wrinkled patches of time
i feel the smooth gloss
and the wrinkles feel gone
yet when one scratches
the finger sulks
finger folds

its been long days
as have been days of longings
and then the next day
was the longest
as the horizon of longing
lies behind

stillness is worn by us in the mirror
but chaos is the way to so
after we meet peace
the tendrils of fracas
climb back to these fingers
from those dusty patches
and desires that lay at newer horizons

chairs

the glee washes off the face
as we see joys of stone crumble
the tears swell up swifter
as we see inks burn or rot
making the breaths humble
stay rooted in the ephemeral chairs
you sit in them only for a wee bit
waft in the smell of the dessert each brings
and sink the teeth in slowly

Has it rained on the gardens yet?

Has it rained on the gardens yet? Has the sky shed its tears out of yearnings for change Have the reins on fury been pulled Has the sin been...
